After successfully founding and running his own flood risk consultancy for almost 10 years, David joined Hydrock as Director of Flood Risk in 2008. He has a full technical understanding of the key issues driving flood risk assessment, engaging with clients at a high level both in the UK and overseas.
David specialises in site specific Hydrological and Hydraulic Modelling to refine and confirm flood risk zonations, but also with extensive experience of geotechnical risk management.
From private individuals (including single plot residential developments) to large energy sector organisations, national house builders, public bodies, and airports, he undertakes risk assessment works on behalf of clients to aid site utilisation and optimisation predominantly within the contexts of National Planning Policy Framework, Technical Advice Note 15 (Wales), and Scottish Planning Policy 7
