EASOS (employed be Ambiental Risk Analytics but representing EASOS)
Paul is a flood risk professional with wide-ranging experience of technical computing and data modelling projects. He is an expert in GIS and data analysis with a developed understanding of environmental data and underlying technical concepts. Paul supervises the development and management of EASOS’ digital flood products and services. He has a prominent role in the development of EASOS FloodWatch and has presented the capabilities of this system to the government in Malaysia. Paul is a frequent speaker and blog writer on topics relating to flood data analytics for governments, the insurance industry and infrastructure. His work experience includes flood modelling, catastrophe modelling and climate change flood mapping for territories including the UK, Australia, Brazil and Asia-Pacific region. Paul has a BSc (hons) in Environmental Sciences from the University of Brighton.

Advances in computing, modelling and remote sensing enables improvements in flood risk analysis. The Earth and Sea Observation System (EASOS) is a pioneering UK Space Agency International Partnership Programme funded project providing decision support for risk management and emergency response coordination. EASOS Flood Watch provides flood forecasting and alerting with live impact forecasts to safeguard people and property. The system is deployed in Malaysia and providing tangible benefits for Government.
