Total Flood Solutions Ltd

Ron Whitehead is a specialist in Flood Alleviation of property and assets, and has for many years developed and installed bespoke PLP solutions to minimise and control flood risk within clients/insurers flood risk mitigation levels. He is Cofounder and Technical Director of Total Flood Solutions Ltd who work for a wide variety of schemes across the UK for utility, commercial, industrial and residential sectors.

With his team and specialist flood data consultants, he has developed the companies Flood Risk Assessments and Surveys to report for major clients in the utility and other sectors to inform clients in formulating their medium term strategy and budgets.

He is a key individual in the companies team developing an increasing range of solutions including wall, door, window, drainage, sumps and pumps as well as a full range of flood proof, security doors, barriers and cabinets all of which have been successfully tested to FM Global’s exacting standards.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers and has been in the flood protection industry since 1999. He has also sat on many steering groups and committee’s informing the Govt. and key governmental bodies on flood issues and was a key person in getting the EA to accept PLP (Property Level Protection) as an accepted solution.

He is the immediate past Chairman of the Flood Protection Association from April 2004 until August 2011. He has been a director of the Flood Protection Association since April 2004 until 2012 when he resigned.
Prior to his involvement in flood protection he was Managing Director of a subsidiary of Wilson Connelly Holdings and has worked in the Civil Engineering and Construction sectors since qualifying in 1975.
